Techworld Implements and Comissioned IT Infrastructre Services for Royale Hayat Hospital

Kuwait, 30th January 2007 - One of the great ironies of modern medicine is that while many of us enjoy the benefits of scientific discovery and sophisticated equipments, many others across the globe do not receive it. This is due to a variety of issues underpinned by the application of insufficient resources and fundamental technology inefficiencies.

In countries where information technology is widely used in banking, telecommunications and entertainment sectors, many medical organizations still rely on paper records. Further more, most existing medical electronic systems don’t interact, which means important information is often isolated and disconnected. While physicians keep their own records, they do not have access to information about the care their patients receive outside their offices.

Hospitals rarely have access to these patient records and emergency room. Doctors know little about patients’ pre-existing conditions. This often results in redundant tests and assessments, increasing the cost of care, and missed diagnoses or treatment.

The Royal Hayat is a multifaceted private hospital delivering services unique to Women and Children in Kuwait. The Hospital is a first class facility that provides the highest standards of Western Medicine coupled with high Oriental Hospitality service.  The mission is to establish a ‘brand name’ for high quality Healthcare in the region in North American standards, with a goal to provide most technologically advanced and professionally managed healthcare system.

To achieve this mission and objectives, Royale Hayat selected Techworld as their Technology Partner to optimize its resources, IT solutions making its business more efficient and improving health care and better management of its medical records.

The objectives of the Royal Hayat Hospital are to create, analyze and background information about technology requirements in healthcare and respond to industry standards.
